Sunday School

During the month of June all adult classes are combining to share in an important study to deepen our understanding of the central act of the church – our Sunday Worship! This study will be led by Dennis Kitchens, Ed Phillips, Ian Curran and Don Shannon.

The four Sundays will be shaped around the four parts of our worship service: Gathering, Hearing the Word, Responding to the Word, and Sending Forth. We will learn why we do what we do in worship that is the primary time we gather to praise God and gain strength for service in the world.

Come hear how the Bible and Church tradition have shaped the attitudes and actions that are central for faithful and engaging worship, connecting us with Christians everywhere.

Join the Journey of Discipleship at Brookhaven United Methodist Church

We believe that we are all called to a growing relationship with God through Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We call this relationship a journey because we are always moving toward a deeper understanding and commitment to God. The journey of discipleship begins at different points in our lives, and yet every one of us is the process of being molded and shaped by God. Therefore, we are never still or unchanging, but moving and growing always.

The mission of Brookhaven UMC is to invite you to join us on the journey of discipleship, empower you through a growing knowledge of the Bible and a deeper understanding of prayer, and engage you in serving others in the name of Jesus.

OUR MISSION: Invite, empower, and engage others on the Journey of Discipleship.
